Meet some of the newest members of Akagera’s lion pride in Rwanda. Lions were reintroduced to Akagera National Park (Friends of Akagera National Park) in 2015, and since their reintroduction, the population has more than tripled. Two additional males were also translocated from South Africa to Akagera in 2017 to increase the population’s genetic diversity.
