I was once told that the Blues were born out of struggle. Every region has a sound linked to it and the south eastern United States is no doubt the sound of the blues. Visiting the Delta was common for me as a child through my 20’s. I have always felt connected to the muddy waters of this great place and believe the gospel blues is truly God’s music or the Devil’s depending on the conduits soul.
